About LoggingCompanies

LoggingCompanies is an independent directory of logging companies, sawmills, timber buyers and forestry services in the United States, plus a landowner-focused guide to selling timber. It exists to help a landowner work out who to call and how to check them.

What this site is for

The site is built for landowners and timber sellers, and it is organized around two jobs: finding a company, and understanding the work. The directory is split by category — logging companies, sawmills, timber buyers and forestry services — and by state, so you can look close to where the trees are.

It is early days. Businesses are added only once their own details are verified, and every directory page is honest about what is listed and what is not yet.

Editorial and source boundaries

• Business facts only. A listing carries a company’s name, address, phone number and website. Nothing more is taken from any source.
• No scraped ratings. We never republish Google ratings, star values, review counts or review text. Any ratings shown here will come from reviews written on this site, and only once that feature exists.
• No invented businesses. Every directory page is either a real, verified listing or a clearly marked empty state. There are no placeholder, example or filler companies.
• No made-up figures. Guidance pages avoid statistics, prices and rules we cannot stand behind, and they point you to the right professional or authority instead.

How the directory is funded

Using the directory is free, and listing a business is free while it is being built. If paid placement or advertising is introduced later, it will be clearly labelled and kept separate from editorial content. Ratings and reviews are never for sale.
